The Call of Jeremiah is a call of all

Note: This was published in our English School Paper - The Resilience Vol. 2 no. 1 and my last article as a school paper adviser.
I would like to quote from the Book of Jeremiah Chapter 1 verses 4 – 9 it is indeed very inspiring. The word of the LORD came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” “Alas, Sovereign LORD,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.” But the LORD said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am

too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the LORD. Then the LORD reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “I have put my words in your mouth.
Whooaa!! Another chapter of school year end and I would like to congratulate all in your triumph to succeed in this year of studies but we know that some of our students did not surpass and failed but it is a part of life that we must to learn to our mistakes and failures. Today, let us reflect to this life event of a prophet Jeremiah. He is very young in that time and he is worrying that he cannot do his work that God given to him. He is very afraid but God assure that everything will be alright and our Almighty is in control. Looking at the picture of the event we may relate to this experience to our own. God give us a role to portray. Every one of us has a mission that we must to reflect and contemplate. We must search for our own self where we may go and find out the destiny that God set to us. We know that it is hard to portray and walk in the path of God’s will but remember that the Almighty given us a gifts to continue our journey, inspired to continue and the power to respond to the call of Yahweh our God. It is the end of my journey as a Teacher after five years of being in a field of education and maybe after you read this article I will be a Seminarian and be formed by the Missionary Society of Saint Columban to be future servant of our Lord. It is a life changing moment and I do not know what will happen next but I trust God in everything. It is a very hard road for me but I am ready to respond to God’s call. I wish all of you to always be sensitive to the call and be ready to react. Let us Praise God’s Always. I will leaving you with a quote on the same book of Jeremiah chapter 1:10 saying See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.” I challenge you young readers to be worthwhile pilgrims of God and create a better place and change for a better and be ready to a brand new school year. Goodluck and Godbless!
